A note from Juliet Gough - founder of Atomic79
After over 20 years of experience in the industry, I decided to make a sideways move and set up my own talent agency and music management company. Keen to nurture and guide the tremendous British talent out there, and understanding the potential pitfalls and difficulties after a varied and exciting career myself, I feel I have a unique vision for my agency. I desire that Atomic79 be an agency not only with fantastic talent onstage/on screen, but one that promotes and encourages professionalism and courtesy behind the scenes also.
After completing three years of full time training at Bird College, I went straight in to the West End musical, Miss Saigon. For the next 20 years, whether in a lead role, as an ensemble member, swing or dance captain, I appeared in over 15 musicals, and 3 plays. I shot 9 commercials (clients include Nike, Sky News, Amazon, Barclaycard) completed modelling campaigns for British Telecom, Tuum jewellery, and SpaceNK and shot 4 feature films. I was also in girl band Face to Face (later becoming 'Mis-Teeq'), co-wrote top 40 hit 'Eternity' (Orion; Incentive records), and in 2004 became the new lead singer of internationally famous band 'Blackbox' ('Ride on Time'). I also managed to fit in catwalk shows, trade shows, hair shows, an album release, studio backing vocalist work and even a stint on Britain's Got Talent. In June 2021, and more recently in August 2024 I can be seen on BBC's Eastenders as Dr Reid. I am also currently the Resistant Director on Hairspray UK tour 2024 - 2025.
With this varied experience I am excited to help new (and old!) talent negotiate these fantastic industries, and where at all possible, and if desired, glide between them. Nurturing the individual talent and gifting of each of my artists is imperative and I am super excited about this new chapter. I am looking forward to moving the agency forward with hard work, discernment, and care for clients and talent alike.
